The butterfly wings are open enough to show the shape clearly, and the small body detail keeps the motif from looking flat. The pearly white mother-of-pearl and clear turquoise blue give the piece more depth than a single-color design, but the palette still feels easy to wear. The scale is a touch smaller than I pictured, but the proportions look refined rather than underwhelming.
