This is the kind of necklace that makes a basic neckline feel finished without much effort. The key has an open, finely detailed top and a narrow stem, so it looks elegant rather than costume-like. I like that the shine follows the outline of the design; it makes the shape clearer instead of overwhelming it. The piece was a little more understated than I expected, but after wearing it twice I started to appreciate the quieter look.

The small stones catch light in short flashes rather than looking bright all the time, so the piece still works during the day. The color reads slightly softer indoors than it did on my screen, although it looks lovely in natural light.
